Course content
1. Morphological and functional fields in biomedicine. Basics of anatomical terminology. 2. General anatomy of bones, bone connections and muscles. 3. Special anatomy of bones and muscles. 4. Heart, vessels and blood circulation. Blood, composition and function, blood coagulation. 5. Heart revolution, vein return. Heart rate, blood pressure and dynamics of changes during load. Lymphatic system, serum. 6. Respiratory air passages and lungs, ventilation and respiration. Transport of respiratory gases. 7. Dentition, digestive tube, glands of digestive system, mechanical and chemical processes during digestion. 8. Substance and energy metabolism. Thermoregulation. 9. Secrete and reproduction system. Kidneys, creation of urine, outgoing urinary tract. 10. Nervous system, central and peripheral nerves, nerve cells. 11. Neural pathways. 12.-13. Substance and nervous regulations of an organism.

Student should have knowledge from human biology in range of subjects from high schools.
learning outcomes
Students: - use basic terms of anatomical terminology when describing human body anatomy and individual organ systems - use and explain physiological terms of individual organ systems in connection to anatomical knowledge - compose well-arranged muscle tables with their own drawings and practical use in following grades - apply theoretical knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to model situations from the field of physical education and sport
