Course content
1. The system of the protection of the Human Rights according to the Pacts on Human Rights of 1966 2. The system of the protection of the Human Rights according to the European Convention for the Protection of the Human Rights 3. Protection of the minorities in the framework of the Council of Europe 4. Diplomatic privileges and immunities according to the Vienna Convention of 1961 5. Development of the legal regulation of the reservations in the relation to the international treaties and its solution in the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties of 1969 6. The role of the United Nations Intenational Conferences and their influence on the development of the international cooperation and the International Law 7. The role of the Security Council and the General Assembly of the United Nations in the peace-keeping in the world 8. North Atlantic Treaty Organization, its establishment, development and recent tendencies 9. Principles of the Statutes of the International Court of Justice and the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea 10. Development of the instruments of the peaceful settlement of disputes between the European states 11. Prohibition of the use or threat of th force in the Charter of the United Nations and the definition of the aggression 12. The role and kind of peace operations of the United Nations and their legal basis 13. Recent development of the International Humanitarian Law 14. Permanent neutrality of the Switzerland and Austria 15. The basic principles of the International Economic Law.

learning outcomes
Students become acquainted with the international organisations. The emphasis is placed not only on the so-called "peace law", but also on so called humanitarian law, with international protection of human rights, and that all in the whole historical development, including peaceful resolution of the international disputes. They get acquainted with the international legal regulation of the economic relations and basic principles of the European a world integration efforts, especially in the European Union.
