Course content
The course is intended to give students a good insight into the following areas: classification of transport vehicles; road vehicles, railway vehicles, combined transport vehicles; special transport vehicles; mechanics of vehicular drives, load and performance balance; dynamics of vehicular drives; fundamentals of railway traffic mechanics; future trends in railway traffic; handling vehicles and machinery for suction, travel, unloading and loading; conveyor-belts. to orientate sufficiently in the knowledge of the previous university education and actively use it
to orientate in general in the basic types of transport means and handling equipments
Uto use at least one foreign language with a focus on transport and handling machinery
professional skills
to define more precisely the basic types of transport means and handling means, the possibilities of their practical use, describe their properties and functions from the point of view of practical use, explain the specificity of individual transport and handling means
in the area of transport and manipulation means to perform basic calculations at the principled level , to orient in the typicla charts and tables in the basic theory of these means
to use the acquired knowledge effectively in the introduction to the design of transport and handling equipment

of the basic properties of each type of transport and handling equipment
of basic computations of transport and handling equipment with respect to their basic characteristics and practical use
