Course content
The course focuses on the following areas: relationship between man and technical systems; significant turning points in the development of engineering; importance of technology for the development of human civilization as well as of each individual; levels of human knowledge; dependence of man on technical systems; links and interaction between technical development and man's humanization; survey of the fundamental technical fields and typical technical systems including their purposes, characteristic functions and parts; history of technology as a source of knowledge, experience and inspiration; present state and trends in technical development.

  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 30 hours per semester
