Course content
Using given technical specifications, students will - accomplish the proposal of base dimensions of a desired component (i.e. of a flange joint) together with used materials, - create the essential drawing documentation, - determinate forces in separate parts of the component (bolts, seal, etc.) and verify its tightness, - perform checking calculation of the component (at least in a simplified version) using the software ANSYS, - make out the seminar work in the form of required technical documentation.

A primary undergraduate course of strength, a primary undergraduate course of thermal transmittance, a primary undergraduate course of mathematics for engineers, the ability to work with drawing documentation actively.
learning outcomes
Students will be able - to describe the problem of the design of nuclear equipments pressure boundaries, - to find out technical specifications and other necessary information for the design, for example of technical standards, - to prepare the design of a simple component of the pressure boundary including the proposal of its base dimensions, - to cooperate on checking calculation of the component under tutor supervision.
