Course content
1. Basic notions of computers and programming; programs and programming languages; variables, declaration, assignment, operators; terminal formatted input and output 2. Command line; basic mathematical functions; control flow statements, conditional, loops 3. Structuring of program, classes and objects, methods, parameters, method overloading; organization of memory 4. Array, multidimensional array, array of objects; command line parameters; program debugging 5. Strings; characters; design of algorithm 6. Sorting, SelectSort, InsertSort, BubbleSort; searching, binary and sequential searching 7. Handling of files and folders; exceptions 8. File input and output; text and binary files 9. File input and output; loading and storing of XML files 10. Representation of data in computer memory, coding of integers and real numbers and characters 11. Comparison of features of object-oriented and procedural programming 12. Examples of design of larger object-oriented applications
