Course content
The course aims to improve written and verbal presentation in public sphere (especially business sphere), communication with emphasis put on practical use, introducing of basic types of business letters (order, reminder, offer), various contract types, their content and other business texts, methods and forms of modern communication and main principles of correct business communication. Source of specific competences is especially analysis of didactically modified and authentic business correspondence texts, correction and auto-correction of students´ works.

  • Presentation preparation (report in a foreign language) (10-15) - 20 hours per semester

Students are able to - recognize, identify and characterize specific business correspondence types - choose suitable language components for concrete communication situation - compile their own written work, based on formal and content principles of specific business correspondence types - to recognize, correct and reformulate language and content mistakes in written text - apply business correspondence principles in their own works and presentations
