Course content
This course includes these items: Physical geography ? location, geology, climatology, geomorphology, hydrology, pedology, biogeography and natural resources. Geographical units. Socioeconomic sphere - geopolitical development. Borders and their development. Integrations. Population and settlement. Culture and Religion. Economy, industry, agriculture, transport, tourism and services. Regions of Europe. Characteristic of individual countries. Teaching geography of Europe.

professional knowledge
It is advisable that students have basic knowledge of physical geography, geology and human geography and understand the mutual relations of individual components of the landscape sphere.
learning outcomes
Students evaluate the position of Europe on the Earth from different perspectives. They are able to apply general geographical knowledge to an example of Europe. Students characterize and compare the characteristics of particular regions of Europe based on knowledge of relations between the different components of landscape sphere.
