Course content
Kinematics and dynamics of motion, vibrational motion and propagation of waves, geometrical and wave optics, mechanical and thermal properties of matter; thermodynamics of gases.

learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student should: be able to give an account of the concepts of classical mechanics, oscillations and waves, geometrical and wave optics, and thermodynamics; be able to mathematize and solve elementary problems using these concepts and to interpret the results; understand how to apply the theory they have learned to simple novel physical situations.
