Course content
Work with selected French-written texts - secondary literature or source-texts in philosophical reading-books. The texts focuse on French age of enlightenment, French epistemology or French philosophy of 2nd half of 20th century. Texts will be published at the beginning of the semester on the website of Courseware.

Course requires no special prior knowledge and skills, the course is guided in Czech.
learning outcomes
Students will learn to work with French-written philosophical text. They will learn to orientate in the text, analyze and interpret it. Students are able to summarize and explain the crucial passages of text and formulate its main ideas. They are able to elaborate a paper using French-written secondary literature. They are also able to search for thesis and reconstruct applied arguments of source-text, primary literature and to explain the historical and philosophical context of the text.
