Course content
Literary aesthetics - an introduction. Author, text, reader. The Czech structuralism (Jan Mukařovsky), Constance School of Reception Aesthetics; Model analysis (one example by J. Mukarovsky; structuralistic,receptional and psychoanalytic texts to Franz Kafka´s The Judgement). The naratology - terms, problems. Reading and debating selected short stories (J. Joyce: Eveline, T. Mann: Der kleine Herr Friedemann, Arthur Schnitzler: Lieutnant Gustl. Franz Kafka: Die Verwandlung. Bohumil Hrabal: Křtiny 1947. Milan Kundera: Já truchlivý bůh)
