Course content
The oldest forms of religion: shared signs (orality, specific conception of transcendency, time and space), totemic systems, fetishism, animism, cult of ancestors. Polytheistic systems (general characteristics), Hinduism. Buddhism. Great monotheistic systems: Judaism, Christianity, Islam. Problems of sectarianism. Non-traditional religions.

learning outcomes
Passing the course fit student with attainments of historical conditionality of development of basic religion systems of the world. Student will orientate himself in basic categories of Religious Studies and gained knowledge will provide him for further study of problems of Religious Studies.
