Course content
Definition of the subject of bibliopedagogy and its relation to the border disciplines. The process of reading. Defects of reading and ways of its corrections. Psychology of reader. The influence of reading and its effects. Working with specific texts. Pedagogy of reader. Applying pedagogical and didactic principles in the work of information institution. The readers' and information literacy. Information education and its significance. Methods of the influence to reader - I. Standard, II. Above standard (nation-wide and international projects). The personality of a librarian

learning outcomes
Passing the course will provide students with basic principles of bibliopedagogical praxis. Students will be able to distinguish the particular phases of readers' literacy and recognize specific defects of reading. The course will also provide their better understanding of concrete aspects of the educational function of information institutions.
