Course content
1st The theoretical basis of the profession and basic concepts in occupational therapy. 2nd Philosophical bases on which builds occupational therapy. 3rd Models of care. 4th Basic models of occupational therapy practice. 5th Context of relations used in occupational therapy for physical disability. 6th The approaches used in occupational therapy for physical disability. 7th Biomechanical approach. 8th Rehabilitation approach. 9th Context of relations used in occupational therapy for psychosocial disability. 10th The approaches used in occupational therapy with psychosocial disabilities. 11th Indicator frameworks and approaches relations with selected diagnoses.

  • Contact hours - 22 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 10 hours per semester
  • Preparation for an examination (30-60) - 30 hours per semester

After completing the course students are able to understand the basic principles of occupational therapy, defineoccupational therapy as a medical discipline, understand the objectives and focuses, apply basic terminology in occupational therapy, understand to the context of comprehensive rehabilitation position in occupational therapy.
