Course content
1st Barriers in the lives of people with sensory and physical disabilities. 2nd Architectural barriers. 3rd Architectural planning and current legislation. 4th The basic parameters of movement of persons with physical and sensory disabilities in the environment. 5th Dimensional requirements for movement and orientation in space. 6th Creating a barrier-free environment in the city. 7th Creating a barrier-free environment in residential buildings. 8th Creating a barrier-free environment in public buildings. 9th Technical and mobility aids. 10th Rationale indication of assistive devices for selected diagnoses. 11th Prescription of assistive devices. 1st Practical proposals to modify nonbarier environment for selected diagnoses. 2nd Proposals to equip the home environment for assistive devices to ensure self-sufficiency. 3rd Practical suggestions for the adaptation of barrier-free working environment for selected diagnoses. 4th Training in the use of assistive devices for food preparation and eating . 5th Training in the use of assistive devices for hygiene. 6th Training in the use of assistive devices for dressing up and putting on shoes . 7th Training in the use of assistive devices for vertical position . 8th Training in the use of assistive devices for ambulation . 9th Training in the use of assistive devices in everyday practice instrumental daily activities in specific situations . 10th Practical adaptations of everyday tools and training in their use in specific situations . 11th Practical use of compensation and technical aids to prevent falls in the elderly .

professional knowledge
After completing the course students are able to understand the basic principles of occupational therapy, defineoccupational therapy as a medical discipline, understand the objectives and focuses, apply basic terminology in occupational therapy, understand to the context of comprehensive rehabilitation position in occupational therapy.
learning outcomes
Student can remove a simple barriers at home and work environment of health disadvantaged people, can train in the use of assistive devices for achieving self-sufficiency in everyday personal and instrumental daily activities.
