Course content
- introduction to economics - the market and the market system - principles of economic thought - consumers utility and demand - costs of a firm - profit maximization and supply - perfect and imperfect competition - characteristics of macroeconomics - economic performance, measuring the annual gross domestic product, income - aggregate supply and demand, potential product - money and money market - inflation and unemployment - economic policy and its effectiveness

Students are able to: - remember the basic principles of economic decision-making sub-businesses - remember the basic economic principles of operation of the national economy - explain the functioning of the different market structures in terms of their efficiency and stability - explain the instruments of economic stabilization policies in different situations - apply the basic macroeconomic models for selected situations
