Course content
Contens: 1. Subject and contens of social statistics. Informations resorces of social area. Indicators and their characteristics, intenzity and extenzity indicators. Indices and differencies as instruments of statistical analysis. Simple and compound individual indices. Agregate indices. Price and quantity indices. 2. Regressional and correlation analysis. Regressional model and regressinal function. Method of least squares. Regressional associated lines. Sample regressional model, estimates of parameters and their variabilities. Measurement of dependence quality - correlation coefficient and corrrelation index. Extrapolations. 3. Multiplied and nonlinear regression. Multiplied linear model and estimate of its parameters. Multicolinearity and its removal. The most applicated types of nonlinear regression model: hyperbolic, parabolic, exponencial and power model. Model selection. 4.Time series and their charakteristics. Time series components. Modeling of trend component - using method of least squares and anothers methods. Linear and nonlinear trends. Season components of time series. Mooving avereges. Prediction. 5. Statistics of population, families and households. Basic indicators, census. Classification of families and households. Social classis, stratification and mobility. Classification of population used in social statistics. Structure of population. Average age of population, median of age. Statistics of migration. Vital statistics. Fertility and reproduction rates of population. Demografic projection. Social profile of region. Social level comparation of regions. 6. Income of the population statistics. Structure of the money income, nominal and real income. Methods of income investigation. Measurement and analysis of income , analysis of income differenciation, Gini coefficient and Lorentz curve. Factors influencing standard of living. Social security, social and health situation of population. Analysis of level social and health services. Analysis of free time exploitation. Analysis of environment quality 7. Statistics of expenditure and consumption. Basic classification of consumption - structure of consumption. Methods of investigation of consumption. Analysis of consumptions trends. Using of regression analysis, Tornquist curves. Using of time-series, logistic function, estimate of its parameters. Sample survey households budgets. 8. Statistics of prices and measurement of inflation. Developement of prices, investigation and analysis. Aplicated price indices and their construction. Measurement of inflation. Terms of trade analysis. 9. Statistics of populations economic activity. Statistics of education. Economic activity of population, rates of economic activity. Labour force, the employmant and the unemployment.Public order and public security. Number and structure of criminal cases.Authorities of public administration. Analysis and comparision of human developement in various countries. 10.Statistics of gross domestic product (GDP) and its developement.Structute of GDP. Nominal and real GDP. International comparison of GDP. National accounts. Contens of particular national consolidated accounts. Another macroindicators from national accounts. Calculating of regional product.

Competence: Student - passing this subject knows analyse statistical informations from social spheres, can measure and analyse developement of social indicators throuqh statistical instruments. He can compare social indicators of various countries or regions. Student know the connection between productivity of economy and populations standard of living.
