Course content
Subject and institutional framework of the European Union. Basic indicators of economic performance. Competitiveness, foreign trade and investments. Labour market. C onvergence processes.

learning outcomes
Students is able to: - Applay basic knowledge concerning international comparisons of economic performance of old and new Member States of the European Union. - Describe the basic indicators of economic performance, define the issue of competitiveness and labour market. - Explain the nature of the convergence processes.

student dokáže: - charakterizovat předmět a institucionální rámec EU, - analyzovat konkurenceschopnost jednotlivých zemí EU, - odhadnout budoucí vývoj konvergenčních procesů v rámci EU
