Course content
1st lecture Basic concepts and general characteristics of chemical production. Overview of the sectors with chemical focus. Raw material basis. Choice of optimal production conditions. 2nd lecture Influence of the chemical efficiency. Catalytic processes. Processes and equipment of chemical technology. Hydrodynamic processes, heat transfer. 3rd lecture Diffusion processes, production of cold, mechanical processes. Fluid technology. 4th lecture Construction materials in the chemical industry. Corrosion. Water technology, drinking treatment, sewage water and service watter treatment. Silicates technology, production of mortar, ceramics, glass. Metallurgy, iron, steel, aluminum, copper. 5th lecture General issues of inorganic production. Production and purification of technical gases (hydrogen, oxygen, fuel and synthesis gases). Sulfur industry, sulfur, sulfuric acid. Nitrogen industry, ammonia production, nitric acid, urea, hydrogen cyanide. 6th lecture Sodium chloride processing, production of chlorine, caustic soda, soda and hydrochloric acid. Pigments production. Production of commercial fertilizers. Special and low-tonnage inorganic production. Raw materials for organic technologies. 7th lecture Production of fuels and chemicals from coal. Production of coke and fuel gases. Chemistry C1. Oil processing, production of fuels and lubricants. 8th lecture Basic petrochemical production, production of unsaturated and aromatic hydrocarbons. 9th lecture Secondary petrochemicals, utilization of ethylene, propylene, C4 hydrocarbons, acetylene, aromatic hydrocarbons. LAO. 10th lecture Production of basic organic compounds. Production of semi-products for the production of macromolecular materials and consumer products of organic technology. 11th lecture Overview of macromolecular substances line. Synthetic fibers. Elastomers. Coatings. Production of pulp and cellulose fibers. 12th lecture General characteristics of biochemical and food industries. Saccharides technology, production of sugar and starch. Fermentation industry, production of beer, wine, alcohol, yeast, vinegar, citric acid, antibiotics. Technology of fats, proteins. Preserving industry.
