Course content
1. Characteristics, distribution and provision of pre-hospital and hospital emergency care. Integrated Rescue System - basic functions and components of the IRS. 2. Emergency Medical Service - characteristics, main tasks and laws governing the operation of the EMS. Competence paramedic. Health Operations Centre. 3. Work with documentation in intensive care and emergency medical service. Basic legislation on emergency medical service. 4. Urgent reception. Air Rescue Service. 5. Equipment and emergency medical service vehicles. Medical transports. Positioning the PNP. Transport and fixation devices used in the PNP. Transport trauma. 6. Patient with infectious diseases in the pre-hospital and hospital emergency care. Specifics of care for patients with highly virulent infection in pre-hospital care. Ethics in prehospital and hospital emergency care, communication with patients in the prehospital and hospital emergency care. Categorization of patients in intensive care. 7. Basic pharmaceutical products in the first line. Resuscitation equipment trunk. Intoxication, antidotes. 8. Anaesthesia in emergency care, pain treatment in prehospital and hospital emergency care. 9. Electrocardiographic monitoring in emergency care. Scoring schemes used in the pre-hospital and hospital emergency care. 10. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation emergency - ERC Guidelines 2015.

Students acquaint basic manual skills and certainity of safe and quality gratification of professional procedures in pre-hospital and hospital intensive care.
