Content: Lecture: Introduction to subject ?Medicine of Disasters and Mass Accidents? History of paramedic rescue work and medicine of disasters Medicine of disasters, basic terms, definition Extraordinary events, definition, separation, natural and anthropogenic disasters Integrated Rescue System- legislature, basic parts, tasks Medical Rescue Service ? legislature, position in giving of the first aid Seminars: Specification of disasters, examples, analysis of selected extraordinary events Comparison of medicine of disasters and urgent medicine History of Medical Rescue Service ? Students are able: To understand problems of extraordinary events, bases of crisis management, planning, structure of Medical Rescue Service, and Integrated Rescue System. To be informed of activities of Medical Rescue Service during extraordinary events. To know procedures of life-threateninig conditions, classification of casualties. To compare procedures of giving an urgent care in urgent medicine and during extraordinary events.
