Course content
1. Introduction to a course - significance of communication, definition of a term - communication, written form of communication, communication with media. Communication channels - principles, barriers in communication. 2. Verbal communication and its disorders-double-bind, brainwashing. Rhetoric. Empathy. 3. Non-verbal communication - facial expressions, gestures, postures, proxemics, haptics, exterior of a person. 4. Practical examples and importance of nonverbal communication during dealing with clients. 5. Interview - types, phases, assumptions of a successful interview, errors in interview. 6. Dialogue, effective communication. Feedback, praise. 7. Errors social perception and how to avoid them. 8. Assertiveness - assertive rights and responsibilities, assertive techniques. 9. Assertive receiving of justified and unjustified criticism, practical examples. 10. Model situations. 11. Credit test.

  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 30 hours per semester
