Course content
Lectures: 1. Energy in the nature. The energy in the human body. 2. The force actions. Sterilization. 3. Biomechanics. Biophysics of the termoregulation of the human body. 4.The sound. Electric fields. Magnetic fields. 5.Breathing. Electromagnetic radiation. 6.The radiation field. Radioactivity. The effects of ionizing radiation. 7.The ionizing radiation application. Nuclear magnetic resonance. 8.The equipment for the application in medicine. The technology of small dimensions. Seminars: 1. The knowledge of mathematics and general physics verification using simple math problems. The results of the verification test, the SI unit conversions. 2. Measuring of length, area, volume, time, mass, density. 3. The uniform movement, linearly uniformly accelerated motion. The balance of forces. The force of gravity. 4. The sound reflection. Physiological acoustics. Sound sources. Phasiological values of sound. Audiometry. 5. Light propagation. Light intensity - measurement. Reflection and refraction of the light. Light absorption. The light transmission through the atmosphere. Hygienic standards for laboratory according to The Czechoslovak State Standards. 6.Behavior of solids to temperature variations. The temperature scale. Physical state and its transformation. Isotherms. Isobars. Izochors. Equation of state. Dissemination of heat. 7. The rule of magnets. Electric charge. Measurement of charge. Electric field. The electric current. 8. The law radioactive transmutation. Radioactive decay series. Study Supports: For students is prepared a study support. Emphasis is placed on a self-study. Possible is a personal consultation by appointment or a seminar on the requested topic.

learning outcomes
Graduates will learn the basic laws of physics using mathematical equations. Based on their knowledge they will be able to develop reliable methods of measuring and methods of results processing. That kind of knowledge the graduate exploits in other subjects such as Instrumental Technique, Biophysics and Radiation Protection.
