Course content
1. Global governance, impact of international organisations and NGOs 2. EU as a global actor 3. Globalization and environmentalism 4. Global financial crisis 5. New Al-Qaeda after 9/11 6. Migration as a global issue 7. News agencies and global media: AP, Reuters, CNNization of society, Fox News effect, MTV etc. 8. Geocultural markets, regionalization, glocalization 9. Internet and globalization 10. Opponents to globalization 11. Discussion on literature

learning outcomes
After passing the course, students will by familiar with various definitions of globalization and with the issue of environmental, cultural or economic globalization. Students will be able to: - identify position of great powers and regions in the global order - analyze main advantagesm problems and risks of global age - understand principles of globalization and postmodernity and compare to compare them with modernity - critically assess modern mass media - identify the reliability of different information channels
