Course content
Students observe classes, assist teachers and under the supervision of experience teachers plan, prepare and teach the specified number of lessons. They also discuss their teaching with their supervisor and reflect on their performances in classes. They get familiar with the school life (education documents, assessment criteria, teachers' duties) and extra-curricular activities (clubs, field trips etc.)

  • Individual project (40) - 40 hours per semester
  • Practical training (number of hours) - 370 hours per semester
  • Preparation for comprehensive test (10-40) - 50 hours per semester
  • Team project (50/number of students) - 60 hours per semester
prerequisite
professional knowledge
study primary education; use English is at B2 CEFR level; have some basic knowledge of pedagogic principles and processes used at primary schools; be acquainted with the specifics of working with young learners; be familiar with basic principles of effective classroom management / including essential items in the detailed lesson plan and the basic classroom language; being able to co-operate with the supervising teacher.
professional skills
assist teachers in classes and extra-curricular activities; communicate with children whose mother tongue is different from the student's mother tongue; apply the basic principles of effective teaching in English / including the ability to write a detailed lesson plan and use of the basic classroom language.
