Course content
The essence of lexicography, dictionary typology, microstructure of the entry and macrostructure of the dictionary, new trends - computational lexicography, etc.; in the seminar - discussions and practice of theoretical knowledge, activities focused on work with various types of dictionaries, including electronic ones.

learning outcomes
Students are able to - use lexicography terminology properly, - identify various types of dictionaries based on the structure of a dictionary entry and other elements introduced in a dictionary, - apply the knowledge of microstructure in compiling dictionary entries on their own, - use various types of dictionaries effectively and purposefully in the study of English, - prepare and realize activities regarding work with a dictionary in teaching English.
