Course content
Students will take part in dialogues on a variety of topics (e.g. films shot, judging people according to their appearance, education, people's homes, shopping and complaining, professions, family and relatives, lucky encounters, the Internet and electronic devices, modern icons); will practise discussions about different themes and giving and justifying their opinions. Listening comprehension will be practised through longer audio texts, e.g. lectures, news and programmes. Reading with comprehension practice will be done through articles and news on current issues. The participants will do a variety of writing tasks ( e.g. a film review, house/ flat description, a letter of complaint, email with CV, a biography).

students of primary education programme who passed the course KAN / AJ1, AJ2, AJ3 KAN / ME1, ME2, ME3, ME4; CEFR B1 level of English (see Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)

develop language systems and language skills of the learners in terms of level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; consolidate the communicative skills.

speak about and understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered at work, in school, leisure, etc.; comprehend spoken radio or TV texts on common topics or their personal interests or profession; comprehend written texts describing events, feelings and wishes; deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the English language is spoken; talk about common topics or topics of their interests; write simple coherent texts on topics which they are interested in personally.
