Course content
Lectures are divided into the following subject groups: classical and modern fairy tales, myths, legends; nonsense in English literature; poetry for young people; imaginary worlds in literature; contemporary English and American authors of children's literature; how to use classic works of English children's literature

  • Contact hours - 22 hours per semester

Students are able to 1. discuss the works of individual writers (identify the main themes and literary forms of each writer) 2. explain the uses of children's literature at secondary level 3. show how children's literature can be employed in tuition at secondary level
