Course content
The goal of this subject is to expose CJKP (Cizí jazyky pro komerční praxi/Foreign Languages for Commercial Purposes) students to the working environment in various businesses before completing their three-year studies. The subject will allow students to become acquainted with the working world before they enter the job market. The subject will enable students to work on a particular task set by their chosen company, possibly within the framework of their bachelor's thesis, and may, ideally, lead to securing a future job in the company. Student internships will take 10 days (8 hours a day) under the conditions specified in a contract between ZCU and the companies involved. Student internships will be performed in the period between the completion of Semester 1 and the beginning of semester 5, either during exam periods or summer holidays, i.e. outside regular classes. It is essential that student internships in no way interfere with students' participation in class, or limit students in the fulfillment of class requirements. Students can contact businesses individually if they wish. Students will need to submit a company certificate to prove their active participation during the internship.
