Course content
Students will be introduced to the basic terms of business English - via theoretical lectures as well as practical exercises. The emphasis is put on the relevenace of topics selected.

  • Contact hours - 39 hours per semester
  • Undergraduate study programme term essay (20-40) - 24 hours per semester

ovládat anglický jazyk na úrovní B2 dle SERRJ;
disponovat znalostmi obchodní terminologie v angličtině na středně pokročilé úrovni;
na základní úrovni se orientovat ekonomickém dění v České republice a anglofonních zemích;
orientovat se v obecných a aktuálních otázkách 20. a 21. století;
popsat významné ekonomické události anglofonních zemích, zejména Velké Británie a USA.

adekvátně se zapojit do diskuse na dané téma;
samostatně interpretovat informace z různých oblastí obchodní angličtiny;
vysvětlit své názorové stanovisko týkající se dané problematiky s použitím odborné obchodní angličtiny;
na základě poslechu sumarizovat odborný poslechový text;
adekvátně formulovat hlavní myšlenky autentického odborného textu z ekonomické oblasti;
general eligibility
Students are able to use general English at least at the intermediate level. The course is definitely not designed for beginners. To enter the course a basic knowledge of business terminology is enough, that is gained by completing prerequisite courses KAJ / AKP1
