Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to make students familiar with this interesting course, to show important taxa of parasitic protozoa, helmintes and arthropods, to explain complicated live cycles, ways of life, and anatomical, morphological and physiological signs of these organisms. Practical lessons are aimed to basic diagnostic methods.
Student knows important taxa of parasitic protozoa, helmintes and arthropods, can explain complicated live cycles, knows ways of life, anatomical, morphological and physiological signs of these organisms. Student knows importans species of parasites and their charakteristics.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of basic parasites taxa and species, basic terms, structure of eukaryotic cell and knowledge of animal biology (anatomy, mophology, physiology).

Course content
Basic term in pasitology. Important parasitic protozoa, helmintes and arthropods. Life cycles, way of life, anatomy, morphology and physiology of parasites. Basic diagnostic methods of parasite deseases. Demonstration of some model species.
