Course content
Introduction of genetics; Molecular processes in genetics; Organisation of prokaryotic and eukaryotic genomes. Replication, transcription, translation and their regulations; Mutation, type and origin of mutation, mutagens; General genetics - basic definitions and principles; Heredity of multicellular organisms; Mitosis and meiosis; Gene interactions; Lethal genes; Maps of chromosomes; Gonosomal heredity; Quantitative genetics; Genetics of blood types; HLA gene family; Genetics of population; Human genetics and genealogy; Genetic engineering, biotechnology and gene therapy; Prenatal Diagnosis.
