Course content
1. Introduction. History of Biogeography. 2. Basics of ecology for biogeography. 3. Climate. Zonal and azonal vegetation. Biomes. 4. Tropical and subtropical forests. 5. Temperate forests. Boreal forests. 6. Mediterranean vegetation. Grassland. 7. Tundra. Desert. Caves. 8. Salt ecosystems. Wetlands. Marine ecosystems. 9. Evolution and biogeography. 10. Phytogeographical regions. 11. Zoogeographical regions. 12. Islands. Mountains. Landscape fragmentation. 13. Biogeographical regions in the Czech Republic.
