Key learning outcomes
Graduates prove knowledge of the level of understanding, application and critical assessment of the social aspects of health, i.e. they define health in terms of social aspects, they focusing on societal contexts of health, applying health legal documents regarding health protection, describe the health system in the Czech Republic, graduates defining the importance of public health insurance in Czech Republic and in the world, they are considering the protection of patient rights with regard to documents of international law and the Czech law, they describing the social consequences of diseases characterized by primary, secondary and tertiary prevention in health promotion. Graduates are well versed in pedagogical and psychological aspects of health, i.e. the are defining health in terms of psychological concepts, which characterizes a healthy lifestyle and implement its characters into the human life cycle, they analyzing a difficult life situations and their impact on human health, they describing the causes of burnout, absolvent's explain etiology and symptoms of neurotic disorders and apply the principles of mental hygiene in the prevention of psychosomatic diseases. At the same time absolvent's demonstrate a deeper knowledge of bio - medical aspects regarding health, i.e. they defining the health of bio - medical aspects, they focusing on human anatomy and physiology, they identify the basic aspects of a healthy life of couples and responsible parenthood in relation to current knowledge of natural and social sciences. They explain nutritional components and explain ways to recognize and correct improper diet; they control in a practical way the principles of first aid and health-saving operations, applying basic ecological phenomena in the concept of health education. The graduates can find, organize and interpret information relevant to the sub-professional problems they present and defend results of their research investigation at an appropriate level of undergraduate work. They are able to use their professional knowledge, professional skills and general competence in at least one foreign language.
