Course content
1. Introduction to Latin medical terminology. History of Latin terminology. Pronunciation and stress. Latin nouns, Greek nouns, declination, conjugation of the verb esse. 2. Nouns of 2nd declination. Greek nouns and 2nd declination. 3. Adjectives of 1st and 2nd declination. Passive perfect participle. 4. Verbs of 1st to 4th conjugation, present affermative, imperative, nagative forms, present conjunctive. 5. Substantives of 4th and 5th declination. 6. Nouns of 3rd declination - masculines, feminines, neutra. 7. Greek nouns and 2nd declination, Greek origins of words. 8. Adjectives of 3rd declination. Present participle. 9. Comparison of adjectives. 10. Numerals (cardinal, ordinal and multiplicatives). 11. Latin affixation. Prescriptions. 12. Compound nouns.

Students can: - pronounce basic Latin and Greek terminology correctly. - acquire basic Latin grammar and the most important rules of Latin and Greek terminology creating. - use passively basic vocabulary within Latin and Greek medical terminology including abbreviations. - translate from Latin the most common medical terminology necessary for their work.
