Course content
1. Intoduction to medical Latin terminology. History of Latin terminology. Pronunciation and stress. Latin nouns, Greek nouns, declination, conjugation of the verb esse. 2. Nouns of 2nd declination. Greek nouns and 2nd declination. 3. Adjectives of 2nd and 3rd declination. 4. Translation of anatomic collocations 5. Verbs of 1st and 2nd conjugation 6. Vebs of 3rd and 4th conjugation 7. Substantives of 4th and 5th declination 8. Revision. Translation of texts. 9. Formative test . Nouns of 3rd declination - masculines, feminines 10. Nouns of 3rd declination - neutra 11. Greek nouns and 2nd declination 12. Adjectives of 3rd declination 13. Present participle, comparison of adjectives

learning outcomes
Students can: - pronounce basic Latin and Greek terminology correctly. - understand basic Latin grammar and the most important rules of creation of Latin and Greek terms. - use passively basic vocabulary within Latin and Greek medical terminology including abbreviations. - translate from Latin the most common medical terminology necessary for medical professions.
