Course content
Week 1 Introduction. Communicative activities. Week 2 Revision of tenses. Week 3 Revision of grammatical moods. Week 4 Interrogative and demonstrative pronouns, dependent and independent. Week 5 Expressing comparison. Week 6 Listening tasks. Telling a story. Week 7 Progress test. Money: ways of paying, taxes, cash dispensers. Week 8 Expressing the extend and intensity. Week 9 Listening tasks. Verb collocations ? two verbs. Expressing contradictory opinions in one sentence. Week 10 Filling in a form related to a car accident. Civilisation: insurance. Week 11 Revision. Week 12 Final test. Week 13 Correcting final test.

Students can: - use present conjuctive after expressions of will, feelings and obligation reasonably correctly; - have a conversation about daily routine; - understand more complicated texts in newspapers on familiar subjects, e.g. sport; - express their opinion on events from everyday life
learning outcomes
Students can: - use covered grammatical tenses and aspects correctly; - use structures with interrogative and demonstrative pronouns, both dependent and independent; - express the extend and intensity; - describe an object in a simple oral and written way; - describe a car accident and fill in an appropriate form; - understand more complicated texts related to health and social insurance.
