Course content
1. Defects ? describing problems, defects, troubleshooting 2. Defects ? troubleshooting, use of passive 3. Notices, Advertisements, Sharing information ? reading and listening 4. Notices, Advertisements, Sharing information - writing, vocabulary 5. Getting around ? in a restaurant ? question words/ question formation, ordering meal, basic communicative phrases 6. Getting around ? in a hotel, problems, basic communicative phrases 7. Materials ? basic materials and products made of them, properties of materials, advantages, disadvantages 8. Materials ? comparison of materials, past and present, description of an object and materials used 9. Inventions ? past passive, comparative and superlative of adverbs 10. Inventions ? attachments and location of parts 11. Safety at work ? signs, notices, warnings, should, must, mustn't - behaviour at a workplace (office, factory) 12. Safety at work ? safety precautions ? injuries, how to use a machine safely - instructions (imperative, modals)
