Student should be able to have a good command of English phonetics, spelling and grammar at a general level, knows the vocabulary for maintaining conversation on general topics and for folding a simple dialogue on business topics

The student is able to communicate in the English language on the basis of his/her knowledge of the English phonetics, spelling and grammar on a general level- can get the gist of the conversation- is able to grasp the gist of a newspaper or internet article-can maintain a dialogue on general topics-can hold a simple business conversation-can express events, feelings, wishes, business plans both orally and in writing- can write a simple coherent text on familiar topics or the topic of interest- can write a letter describing experiences and impressions
